Prof. Dr. Michel Trudeau
Conference chair
NANO 2028 is the 19th conference in the series organized under the auspices of the International Committee on Nanostructured Materials (ICNM), held every two years. The conference continues its long-standing tradition of bringing together leading scientists, researchers, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the latest advances and future directions in nanostructured materials.
Valencia provides an exceptional setting for this important scientific gathering. Combining a rich historical heritage with cutting-edge infrastructure, the city offers an inspiring environment for scientific exchange, collaboration, and innovation. Its excellent conference facilities, vibrant cultural scene, and welcoming atmosphere make Valencia an ideal destination for hosting an international event of this scale.
This conference will provide a valuable opportunity for the nanomaterials community to share knowledge, foster new collaborations, and accelerate the development of technologies related to nanostructured materials.
We are preparing an exciting scientific program while ensuring ample opportunities for networking and interaction among participants. The main topics to be covered include:
- Electrical and optical properties (lasing, resonant cavities, and related phenomena)
- Advanced and in situ characterization techniques for nano- and micromaterials
- Nanomaterials for photonics, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, and molecular electronics
- Carbon nanomaterials, graphene, nanotubes, and nanodiamonds
- Plasmonic nanostructures and applications
- Nanocomposites and multiscale materials
- Nanomaterials in catalysis
- Nanomaterials for energy applications
- Nanobiotechnology and biomedical applications of nanomaterials
- Nanotoxicology, health, and safety
- Nanomaterials in aerospace: integration, fabrication, and applications
In addition to the scientific program, we are designing an engaging social program that will allow participants to experience the unique character of Valencia. One of Spain’s most dynamic and attractive cities, Valencia seamlessly blends history, culture, innovation, and Mediterranean charm. Visitors can explore its historic center, admire its remarkable architecture, stroll through the Turia Gardens, and discover iconic landmarks such as the City of Arts and Sciences.
Valencia is also renowned for its outstanding gastronomy, including its world-famous paella, lively markets, and vibrant culinary scene. The city’s pleasant climate, beautiful beaches, and relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle provide the perfect backdrop for informal discussions and networking opportunities beyond the conference venue.
Take the opportunity to discover Valencia’s rich cultural heritage, enjoy its exceptional cuisine, and experience the warmth and hospitality of its people.
Come to NANO 2028 in Valencia. We are confident that this conference will be both scientifically rewarding and personally memorable.
We look forward to welcoming you to Valencia.
